Volunteer Opportunities

Since 2000, the PNA has maintained a Community Technology Center for residents of Seattle's north end neighborhoods. The center has nine teaching stations and two community access stations. The CTC offers a variety of volunteer-taught classes and workshops.

The CTC also has a library of reference books donated by employees at Microsoft Press.

Open Labs: Starting Tuesday, Jan. 8, the CTC will offer open lab sessions Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday mornings from 10 am to noon.

Our lab is equipped with high speed internet, all Microsoft Office applications, Photoshop, video editing software and many other programs. We also have a printer, scanner and wi-fi access (bring your laptops, if you wish). We'll have volunteer staff present to help you with anything you need to know about computers, various software and light troubleshooting.

If you're interested in volunteering as an open lab supervisor for future sessions, please contact Rex Dulay at rex@phinneycenter.org or call (206) 783-2244.
